Ticket for the ruins under Christiansborg Palace

Below the current Christiansborg are the ruins of the oldest castles that have stood on the site: Bishop Absalon's castle from 1167 and Copenhagen Castle, which was demolished in 1731. In the atmospheric excavations, you can explore, among other things, the defensive wall from Absalon's castle and the mighty Blue Tower, where the king's daughter Leonora Christina was imprisoned for 22 years. The historical exhibition shows Christiansborg's 800-year history as a medieval castle, royal residence and center of power.

October - March: Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 - 17:00 (closed Mondays)
April, May, June, and September: Monday to Sunday 10:00 - 17:00
July and August: Monday to Sunday 10:00 - 18:00
