Guided tour of the Hermitage

Visit the magnificent royal hunting lodge on a guided tour in English.

Dramatic hunts on sweaty horses and delightful banquets in the countryside; The Hermitage tells the fascinating story of the royal hunts in Dyrehaven. The royal hunting lodge from 1736 was built far from the court in Copenhagen as a leisure palace where the king could host private hunting lunches.

The magnificent hunting lodge is situated in the middle of Dyrehaven which is a part of the Danish king's parforce hunting landscape, classified as a UNESCO's World Heritage site. Join a guided tour and discover the history and the beautiful interiors of the Hermitage.

Please notice: The Hermitage is located in the park Dyrehaven, 20 minutes from Copenhagen. Take the S-train to Klampenborg Station. From there, rent a bike or a horse carriage, or walk to the Hermitage. It will take you about 45 minutes to walk from Klampenborg Station.

The Hermitage may at any time be closed in connection with official functions of The Royal Family.
